Welcome to aroa ("aroa", "we", "our", "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the aroa mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
For apps downloaded from Apple: You acknowledge this agreement is between you and us only, and not with Apple. We are responsible for the app and its content, not Apple.

1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use aroa.
If you are under 18, you represent that you have obtained consent from a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
2. Nature and Limitations of the Service
aroa is a general wellbeing and self-reflection companion designed to support intentional pauses, awareness, and personal choice.
aroa does not provide:
- Medical advice
- Mental health treatment
- Therapy or counseling
- Diagnosis or prevention of any condition
- Clinical monitoring or intervention
- Emergency or crisis services
aroa does not claim to treat, cure, diagnose, prevent, or influence any medical or psychological condition.
If you are experiencing distress, mental health challenges, or a crisis, do not rely on aroa. Seek assistance from qualified professionals or local emergency services.
Use of the Service is voluntary and at your own discretion.
3. User Accounts
Certain features may require account creation. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
- All activity under your account
aroa is not responsible for unauthorized access caused by your failure to secure your credentials.
4. Subscriptions, Billing & Payments
Some features require a paid subscription. All payments are:
- Processed exclusively through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store
- Governed by the respective store's terms and policies
Key points:
- Subscriptions are billed on a monthly or annual basis, as selected at the time of purchase
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled through your Google Play account (Payments & Subscriptions) or Apple App Store account (Subscriptions settings) at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
- You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future billing but does not entitle you to a refund for the current billing period, unless required by applicable law
- aroa does not process payments directly
- aroa cannot modify billing, cancel subscriptions, or issue refunds outside the app store systems
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Misuse, interfere with, or disrupt the Service
- Reverse engineer, copy, or exploit any part of the app
- Attempt unauthorized access to systems or data
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes
6. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service.
You may stop using aroa at any time.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." aroa makes no guarantees regarding:
- Outcomes or results
- Effectiveness or impact
- Accuracy or completeness
- Availability or uninterrupted access
Use of the Service is entirely at your own risk.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, aroa shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the Service.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated through the app or website. Continued use constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts located in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
